As a society, today we are faced with unique challenges that the world has never seen. In just 50 years we have grown to new technological heights, and witness the expanse of a new global economy. The rising generation is presented with opportunities that were mere fantasy to their parents and grandparents. But how have these generations adapted to the changes in society? By comparing the Traditionalists of the 30’s and 40’s to the modern Millennials at a high level, we can begin to see how characterizing factors of each generation have also changed.

The Traditionalists lived in a more rule oriented, authoritative environment, while Millennials insist on a less controlling society. The former relied on working hard, while the latter prefers working less but taking greater risks. Depending on what factors of each generation you look at, these characteristics begin to align with certain KSM traits.
