Why is Socrates considered visionary?

Knew that he knew nothing
-Because of this understanding, he was open to knowledge and was thus wiser than those who claimed they knew everything
-This simple knowledge caused those who thought they knew everything to look foolish

Was a strict follower of moral law
-Refused to murder a man for city officials because the man had done nothing wrong
-Refused to escape prison because he felt that the courts must be listened to

Questioned everything
